First, ACCREDITATION: NCMS was an ACCME Recognized Accreditor until 2024-04-01, when it, the Medical Society of Virginia and the Mississippi State Medical Association relinquished that status to the SOUTHERN STATES CME COLLABORATIVE — so 'accredited by the SSCC' is the correct wording for twelve of North Carolina's providers, and 'accredited by ACCME' is wrong for them. It publishes the resulting 12-name provider list. Second, it HOSTS most of the state's specialty societies on www2.ncmedsoc.org, which is why so many NC societies have no domain of their own. Third, it publishes the only county-society directory in the state — 19 societies, 14 of whose dues it collects. Watch the paths: the provider list lives under /about-us/ and the /professional-growth/ equivalent is a 404, and /education-training/ is a 404 as well.
