First pass, 2026-08-11, researched across six lanes.
CONNECTICUT'S CME IS CONCENTRATED IN ITS HEALTH SYSTEMS AND ALMOST ABSENT FROM ITS SOCIETIES. Two providers — Hartford HealthCare and Yale — supply most of the dated activity in the state and both publish machine-readable catalogs carrying explicit AMA PRA Category 1 hour counts. Against that, the specialty and county layers publish plenty of MEETINGS and almost no CREDIT: of the THIRTEEN society and county activities recorded here, NOT ONE publishes an AMA PRA Category 1 designation. Twelve say credit is unknown, which means UNPUBLISHED AND NEVER ZERO, and the thirteenth publishes AAFP Prescribed credit, which is a different currency. Treat a Connecticut society meeting as a meeting until its accreditation statement appears. CONNECTICUT HAS NO ACCREDITOR OF ITS OWN, AND ITS SMALL PROVIDERS ARE ACCREDITED FROM TWO NEIGHBOURING STATES. The state is absent from the ACCME's list of recognised accreditors, so six of its providers are accredited by the Massachusetts Medical Society and one — Greenwich Hospital — by the Medical Society of the State of New York. All seven were predicted in advance from the Massachusetts pass and all seven were confirmed. THE CONNECTICUT STATE MEDICAL SOCIETY IS NOT AN ACCREDITOR, AND AT LEAST ONE SOCIETY'S CURRENT PAPERWORK STILL SAYS IT IS. Pages claiming accreditation by it are claims rather than accreditation. The confusion is structural rather than simple staleness: Connecticut statute independently accepts state-society-approved coursework for LICENCE RENEWAL, which is a different thing from accreditation. REGISTRY VOLUME OVERSTATES THE STATE BY ABOUT A THIRD. Eight registrants hold 759 of Connecticut's 2,689 accredited activities and produce no Connecticut event at all — a medical-education company and two online publishers with real in-state offices, two national societies sharing one association-management address in Bloomfield, an insurer whose CME is member-gated enduring material, and a firm that lends its accreditation to third parties. Two more providers are volume illusions of a different kind: Connecticut Children's 350 activities resolve to a single public conference, and Yale's 176 resolve to six dated conferences with the remainder on-demand. THE HOSPITAL CALENDARS ARE MOSTLY NOT ON HOSPITAL WEBSITES. Three hospitals publish nothing dated on their own domains while running live calendars on a third-party platform, and Greenwich Hospital is the sharpest case — no CME page anywhere in its 1,839-URL sitemap, and a real credit-bearing calendar off-site. Only one community hospital in the state, Silver Hill, publishes dated CME on its own domain. A crawler limited to hospital websites would report this layer as empty. Conversely one provider genuinely publishes nothing: Stamford Health has 20 accredited activities and NOT ONE CME page across its 2,903-URL sitemap, yet designates 5.25 credits for another society's conference — its output appears under that society's name, not its own. THE COUNTY TIER IS NOT THE EIGHT COUNTIES IT APPEARS TO BE. Two county societies merged into a single eastern association in 2022, the largest county body left the state society in 2017, one county society's published domain has been hijacked and now redirects to a spam site, and two more could not be verified to operate at all and are deliberately not listed. Across that entire layer there are three future activities and no accreditation statements. KNOWN GAPS, RESEARCHED AND ACCEPTED: the Connecticut Section of the obstetricians' college is behind a member login; one regional health education centre is behind a CAPTCHA; and the hospital-medicine chapter publishes its events inside a members-only community.
