Full coverage note — what was researched, and what the gaps are

Four research lanes across a substantial state — 15 organizations and 32 Kentucky-sited events (plus one California-sited row), 21 of them dated conferences carrying a designated AMA PRA Category 1 figure and four recurring series that designate one per session. ⭐ KENTUCKY HAS ITS OWN ACCREDITOR — THE KENTUCKY MEDICAL ASSOCIATION — AND IT REACHES ONLY INTO MISSOURI, A VACUUM STATE. KMA is one of ACCME's Recognized Accreditors and accredits 14 of the state's 17 registry providers (488 activities) — Norton, the AHEC centers, St. Elizabeth, Baptist Health's Kentucky hospitals, Owensboro, Pikeville, T.J. Samson, St. Joseph and King's Daughters. Its entire measured out-of-state footprint is two Missouri providers (the Institute for International Medicine and Mercy Hospital St. Louis); Missouri has no accreditor of its own, so KMA fills a vacuum and reaches zero of the neighbouring states that do (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee). This confirms from Kentucky's own side the Kansas/Missouri finding that Kentucky is one of four out-of-state accreditors reaching into Missouri, and it is the same shape as Colorado's Medical Society — a vacuum-filler that respects the border, unlike the Medical Association of Georgia. ⭐ THE CATALOGS WERE MACHINE-READ, NOT BROWSED. Kentucky's providers publish on three platforms the repo already extracts: the University of Kentucky HealthCare CECentral on EthosCE (its course-catalog-list view is Cloudflare-bot-blocked, but the individual content pages are open); the University of Louisville and Norton Healthcare on CMETracker (tenants ULOU and NHCCME — the doBuildCatalog endpoint read Norton's whole catalog of 342 future rows, 12 dated conferences plus 330 regularly scheduled series, where a browser sees only a client-rendered shell); and St. Elizabeth Healthcare on CloudCME. Every AMA PRA figure here is read from the activity's own designation line. Norton is the workhorse — 12 dated conferences (three in-person, nine livestream) including the flagship 2026 Kentucky Statewide Trauma & Emergency Medicine Symposium at 10.00 AMA PRA Category 1. ⚠️ KENTUCKY SPANS TWO TIME ZONES, AND THIS PASS SEEDED ONLY THE EASTERN HALF. Louisville, Lexington, Erlanger and Pikeville are Eastern; the western third of the state (Bowling Green, Owensboro, Paducah, Glasgow, Madisonville, Hopkinsville) is Central. Every seeded row is Eastern (America/New_York) because the Central-zone providers — Owensboro Health, Baptist Health Paducah, T.J. Samson in Glasgow and the University of Kentucky's Western Kentucky Heart & Lung symposium in Bowling Green — either publish no dated future activity, block automated access, or have only past editions. A future western-Kentucky row must be filed Central; the state is not one time zone. ⚠️ ONE ROW IS FILED TO CALIFORNIA BY ITS VENUE. The University of Louisville is the accredited provider for the 2026 Santa Barbara Dermatology Meeting (15.25 AMA PRA Category 1), but the meeting is in Ojai, California, so it is filed to California — the venue decides the state, not the provider's home — and it answers a California search and never a Kentucky one. Every credit claim is AMA PRA Category 1 → MD/DO, with NP or PA added only where the activity's own page names them (the UK Family Medicine Review and the Santa Barbara meeting name both; the Norton Spine Symposium names physician assistants). The Kentucky Academy of Family Physicians' annual meeting carries AAFP Prescribed credit, which the AAFP requires be reported as Prescribed rather than as AMA PRA Category 1, so it is recorded but not counted as a designation; the Pikeville pain symposium meets Kentucky's HB1 controlled-substance requirement as KBML Category 1 CME without printing an AMA PRA figure. KNOWN GAPS: the Kentucky Medical Association and Kentucky Psychiatric Medical Association annual meetings publish no AMA PRA figure (recorded credit-unknown); three Pikeville symposia publish dates but no credit; Baptist Health's Kentucky hospitals, CHI Saint Joseph, Owensboro Health and T.J. Samson are KMA-accredited but publish no dated physician CME (sites blocked or pages retired); Kentucky's eight AHEC centers have no shared catalog (unlike North Carolina's) and publish essentially nothing dated online; the Kentucky Heart Foundation designates for King's Daughters in Ashland but has no upcoming event; several society annuals (osteopathic, pediatrics, ophthalmology, anesthesiology) had already passed by mid-August with no next date posted; and a cross-state sweep for out-of-state organizations meeting at Kentucky venues was not completed.

48 listings

28 dated in KY · 8 attendable from anywhere · 12 series & catalogs

  1. CREDIT UNKNOWN — the kyma.org meeting page and its Eventbrite listing describe mandated-CME content ('obtain the subject matter specific mandated Continuing Medical Education') but publish no 'AMA PRA Category 1' designation string as of 2026-08-17 (KMA is an ACCME provider, so Category 1 is expected, but the figure is not published). Date verbatim: 'to be held August 22-23 at the Louisville Marriott East.' Louisville, KY (Eastern).

  2. CREDIT: the pmcky.org/cme page frames this as Kentucky's HB1 controlled-substance requirement — 'the 4.5-hour Category 1 CME requirement mandated by Kentucky's HB 1' and 'Attendees will receive KBML-approved Category 1 CME' — but does NOT print an 'N AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™' designation string, so no AMA PRA figure is recorded (4.5 hours of KBML/HB1 Category 1 CME). Date verbatim: 'September 19, 2026'. Venue University of Pikeville, Pikeville, KY (Eastern). Audience 'physicians authorized to prescribe or dispense controlled substances'.

UNKNOWN, not zero, and deliberately not assumed. The APA is ACCME-accredited and is DC's largest registrant at 808 activities, but this event's own page carries NO credit figure, NO AMA PRA Category 1 designation and NO accreditation statement — the full agenda is published and the credit section simply does not exist. Audience published as 'all individuals who are passionate about supporting, developing, and championing women leaders in medicine, including: Medical Students, Residents & Fellows, Practicing Physicians, Academic Faculty, Department & Division Leaders, Physician Executives, Health System Leaders, Researchers' — physicians throughout, with no nurse-practitioner or physician-assistant category, so neither is claimed.

  4. Joint accreditation verbatim: 'Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.' ⚠️ THE DESIGNATION DEFERS TO A CHART: 'The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of credits as listed in the chart below' — and the chart is not extractable without a browser, so the 2027 hour total is UNKNOWN. The prior year's marketed 'up to 26 CME credits' has deliberately NOT been carried across. ⚠️ PUBLISHER TYPO: the site's own navigation reads 'Myrtle Beach, FL' on every page while the conference page, breadcrumb and the venue address (9800 Queensway Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572) all say South Carolina. SC is correct.

  5. Same joint accreditation and same chart-deferred designation as the Myrtle Beach conference — the 2027 hour total is UNKNOWN and the prior year's marketed figure has not been carried across. Venue: 130 Shipyard Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.

Ongoing series & year-round catalogsRecurring grand rounds, always-open libraries, and activities whose dates are not yet announced

  1. Regularly scheduled series (RSS). The CMETracker ULOU catalog carries 20 grand-rounds sessions, each designating an AMA PRA Category 1 figure of 1.00-1.50 (pub-show-ama on every row; self-read 2026-08-17). Represented once at series level, not as individual dated sessions.
