CME in North Dakota

First pass, 2026-08-17.

Full coverage note — what was researched, and what the gaps are

Accreditor sweep + four research lanes. ⭐ ANOTHER CLEAN VACUUM, REACHED BY A DIFFERENT NEIGHBOUR: THE MINNESOTA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION. North Dakota has no ACCME-recognized accreditor of its own. The registry lists just 2 providers: the University of North Dakota School of Medicine (205 activities, ACCME-direct) and Trinity Health of Minot (6 activities), the latter accredited by the MINNESOTA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION. The MMA's out-of-state footprint, swept across ND and its neighbours (SD/WI/IA/MT), is NORTH DAKOTA ONLY (Trinity, 6 activities) — the sixth intrastate accreditor mapped (after MAG, CMS, KMA, NMA, IMS) and the fourth single-neighbour reach (KMA→MO, NMA→MO, IMS→SD, MMA→ND). ⚠️ THE REGISTRY UNDERCOUNTS ND HARD, AND THE FARGO SYSTEMS ARE FETCH-WALLED. Sanford Health (HQ Sioux Falls SD) and Essentia Health (HQ Duluth MN) run major hospitals in Fargo but register under their HQ states, so neither appears in the ND registry. Their Fargo CME could not be machine-read this pass: Sanford's eeds calendar is JS-walled (its one confirmed Fargo series, the Heart and Vascular Symposium at the Avalon Events Center, has no posted next-edition date), and Essentia's CME pages 403. Both are named gaps, not evidence of absence. ⚠️ UND'S CATALOG IS OVERWHELMINGLY RECURRING VIRTUAL. Its self-serve portal (razor.med.und.edu) is server-rendered but is almost entirely Project ECHO and Zoom grand rounds with no credit figure shown; the one dated in-person flagship seeded is the Dakota Conference on Rural & Public Health (Bismarck, June 29-30 2027; 2027 figure unposted, the 2026 edition was 9.25 AMA PRA). ⚠️ TWO TIME ZONES, AND BOTH ARE SEEDED. Most of ND (Fargo, Grand Forks, Bismarck) is CENTRAL; the southwest corner / Badlands is MOUNTAIN — the ND Society of OB/Gyn's annual meeting in MEDORA is the seeded Mountain row. And the North Dakota Academy of Family Physicians' 50th Family Medicine Update is carried on its TRUE venue state, MONTANA (Big Sky Resort), not ND. ⚠️ NO SEEDED ND ROW CARRIES A PUBLISHED AMA PRA FIGURE — every ND society meeting (NDMA/ACP joint, ND AFP, ND OB/Gyn) publishes dates but not credit numbers, and UND's 2027 figure is not yet posted. All are recorded credit-unknown with the precedent figures noted where known (the 2024 joint society meeting was 3 AMA PRA; the 2026 Dakota Conference was 9.25). KNOWN GAPS: Sanford Fargo (eeds-walled) and Essentia (403); Trinity Minot publishes only BLS/ACLS and patient classes; Altru's Mayo-provided grand rounds 403; CHI St. Alexius Bismarck publishes no CME calendar; the ND NP chapter (ndnp.enpnetwork.com) 403s; the NDHA convention is aggregator-only and administrative; and no IHS Great Plains ND-sited clinician CME was found.

4 dated in ND · 8 attendable from anywhere · 8 series & catalogs

  1. Date verbatim: 'August 21, 2026', Medora, ND (MOUNTAIN — the Badlands / southwest corner). Recorded from the NDAFP community calendar listing (self-verified 2026-08-17); the society publishes no independent event page, no venue name and no credit figure, so credit is recorded unknown (single-source, medium confidence).

UNKNOWN, not zero, and deliberately not assumed. The APA is ACCME-accredited and is DC's largest registrant at 808 activities, but this event's own page carries NO credit figure, NO AMA PRA Category 1 designation and NO accreditation statement — the full agenda is published and the credit section simply does not exist. Audience published as 'all individuals who are passionate about supporting, developing, and championing women leaders in medicine, including: Medical Students, Residents & Fellows, Practicing Physicians, Academic Faculty, Department & Division Leaders, Physician Executives, Health System Leaders, Researchers' — physicians throughout, with no nurse-practitioner or physician-assistant category, so neither is claimed.

  3. Date verbatim: 'October 15-16, 2026' at the 'Alerus Center', Grand Forks, ND (Central), per ndmed.org (self-verified 2026-08-17). Held jointly with the ND ACP chapter (whose scientific meeting is October 16 at the same venue) and the ND Society of Hospital Medicine. No AMA PRA Category 1 figure is published on the 2026 page; the 2024 joint SHM/ACP/NDMA meeting was designated at 3 credits (AMA PRA Category 1), so the 2026 figure is recorded unknown.

  4. Joint accreditation verbatim: 'Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.' ⚠️ THE DESIGNATION DEFERS TO A CHART: 'The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of credits as listed in the chart below' — and the chart is not extractable without a browser, so the 2027 hour total is UNKNOWN. The prior year's marketed 'up to 26 CME credits' has deliberately NOT been carried across. ⚠️ PUBLISHER TYPO: the site's own navigation reads 'Myrtle Beach, FL' on every page while the conference page, breadcrumb and the venue address (9800 Queensway Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572) all say South Carolina. SC is correct.

  5. Date verbatim: 'June 29 & 30, 2027' at 'Bismarck State College', Bismarck, ND (Central), per ruralhealth.und.edu (self-verified 2026-08-17). The 2027 AMA PRA figure is not yet posted; the 2026 edition was UND-designated at 9.25 credits (AMA PRA Category 1), so the 2027 figure is recorded unknown pending publication. (A search summary claiming 'June 8-10, 2027, Bismarck Event Center' was rejected in favour of the fetched page.)

  6. Same joint accreditation and same chart-deferred designation as the Myrtle Beach conference — the 2027 hour total is UNKNOWN and the prior year's marketed figure has not been carried across. Venue: 130 Shipyard Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.
