First pass, 2026-08-15, four research lanes plus direct platform extraction.

Full coverage note — what was researched, and what the gaps are

WEST VIRGINIA'S FLAGSHIP CME CONFERENCE IS OSTEOPATHIC, AND THE MD STATE SOCIETY POINTS ITS OWN MEMBERS AT IT. The West Virginia State Medical Association publishes no meeting of its own — its meetings page reads only 'COMING SOON', its register button has an empty href and its event calendar returns 'No results found' — while its homepage links to the West Virginia Osteopathic Medical Association's 124th Annual CME Conference, and WVOMA's price list carries a WVSMA member tier equal to its own members' rate. That conference designates 22 AOA CATEGORY 1-A hours and NO AMA PRA credit at all, which matters because the two read almost identically and certify different things. THE STATE HAS ONLY FIVE ACCREDITED PROVIDERS AND 480 ACTIVITIES, and each of the five is instructive. WVU is the largest at 231 but its public catalog listed just five conferences, three of them dental; CAMC's 199 make it the state's real physician-CME publisher; Marshall has 36 and publishes only internal tumour boards; Berkeley Medical Center's 14 come through the SOUTHERN STATES CME COLLABORATIVE, making West Virginia the fifth state where that intrastate accreditor appears; and Quality Insights shows ZERO — accurately, because it sells accreditation services and holds credit for other organizations' activities while publishing none of its own. READ ce.camcinstitute.org, NOT THE MARKETING SITE. It is a public machine-readable catalog with per-class credit tables naming AMA PRA Category 1 and its hours, and it correctly omits the stale microsites camcmedicine.edu still serves — one of which is live, well-formed and future-tense for a symposium that had already ended. Note camcinstitute.org is a different host that refuses HTTPS, serves over plain HTTP and then meta-refreshes rather than HTTP-redirects, so curl -L does not follow it. TWO LAYERS ARE MEASURED NEGATIVES RATHER THAN GAPS. The AHEC network is the Michigan shape, not the North Carolina one: no shared catalog, no API, no feed and nothing dated across the state office and all five regional centres. The health department is silent in a way that can be counted — four Drupal sites all ship an /events route from a shared template and all four render zero event nodes, and its only live feed is press releases. Its Office of Drug Control Policy publishes no clinician training whatsoever, which is genuinely surprising here; its Office of Emergency Medical Services calendar returns HTTP 401, so that one is blocked rather than absent. THE COUNTY-SOCIETY TIER DOES NOT EXIST ON THE WEB — every plausible domain fails DNS — and the near-name traps are unusually rich: wvacc.org is the Appalachian Children's Chorus (the cardiology chapter is accwv.org, letters reversed), wvpma.org is the West Virginia PEST Management Association rather than the podiatric one, wvnpa.org is the state's nonprofit association, wvanp.org is naturopathic physicians, wvpa.org is a California compliance business and wvsa.org redirects to a Pennsylvania state agency. KNOWN GAPS, RESEARCHED AND ACCEPTED: credit is the weak point of the whole society layer — of ten upcoming society meetings exactly one publishes a designation sentence, and it is the osteopathic one — so most rows here carry credit recorded as UNKNOWN rather than assumed. WVOMA's online CME catalog returns HTTP 403 behind an Azure WAF, leaving an unread layer of enduring AOA material; WVSOM's mid-winter and summer seminar pages are password-protected, which is where a 2027 date would appear; the Appalachian Addiction and Prescription Drug Abuse Conference demonstrably has a 2026 edition but its PheedLoop site is a bare React shell whose APIs all 404, so no date could be established; the Southern States CME Collaborative has no reachable domain and publishes no provider list, so Berkeley Medical Center's activities stay unverified rather than inferred; the entire Eastern Panhandle yielded no upcoming WV-sited CME; and the orthopaedic society's dated 2027 meeting and the family-medicine foundation's dated 2026 conference both publish NO VENUE, so they are recorded on their organizations rather than seeded with an invented city. DELIBERATE EXCLUSIONS, NAMED SO THEY ARE NOT MISTAKEN FOR OVERSIGHTS: three WVU dental conferences carrying ADA CERP or AAOMP credit; CAMC's nursing conference, whose credit table lists only ANCC hours; CAMC's 149 life-support classes, represented by one organization row rather than flooding Charleston's results; and two commercial destination-CME conferences at The Greenbrier — a Hawaii-based dermatology company and a Colorado vendor whose December slate runs Walt Disney World, Hawaii, Basel, Nassau, Key West, Las Vegas, Costa Rica and Grand Cayman. Both carry genuine academic accreditation, and the second designates AOA CATEGORY 2-A rather than 1-A, so a DO booking it to satisfy West Virginia osteopathic licensure would be wrong. THE TWO BOARDS SET DIFFERENT REQUIREMENTS, which is why the AOA-versus-AMA distinction above is practical rather than pedantic. The Board of Medicine's classic pathway is 50 hours over a two-year reporting period designated Category I BY THE AMA OR AAFP — note AAFP Prescribed credit counts here — of which 30 must be in the physician's own specialty area, with a mandatory 3-hour board-approved controlled-substances course counting toward the 50; an ABMS certification exam or active MOC can substitute for the rest. The Board of Osteopathic Medicine requires 32 hours, of which 16 must be AOA Category 1A or 1B.

17 dated in WV · 8 attendable from anywhere · 8 series & catalogs

  1. CREDIT ANNOUNCED BUT NOT DESIGNATED, and the two CAMC systems disagree. The conference page says only 'CE credits are available for ARRT/ASRT, nurses, pharmacists and physicians', while the registration system's credit table for this same activity lists every credit type with provider number 'Pending' and hours 0.00, including 'Physician / Pending / 0.00'. Hours are therefore UNKNOWN, never zero, and no AMA PRA Category 1 figure may be inferred. Recorded and not resolved. A separate remote-attendance registration exists at classid=20251&dateid=90015. Venue is the CAMC Center for Learning and Research, 3044 Chesterfield Ave., Charleston, WV 25304.

  2. CREDIT UNKNOWN -- no designation sentence appears on any WVACEP page. THE VENUE IS NOT PUBLISHED BY THE ORGANISER AND THIS ROW'S CITY IS INFERRED FROM ITS ROOM BLOCK, which is recorded here rather than presented as published. Every page of wvacep.org was grepped for stonewall, roanoke, greenbrier, resort and hotel with no match except the room-block URL itself; that URL carries the booking-engine identifiers Hotel=35494 and Chain=21123 with arrive=2026-09-23 and depart=2026-09-24, and resolving it returns the property 'Stonewall Resort'. Stonewall Resort's published address is 940 Resort Drive, Roanoke, WV 26447, and three other West Virginia societies independently hold meetings there. Note Roanoke WEST VIRGINIA is a homograph of Roanoke Virginia, and the WV Board of Medicine lists this same resort under the nearest town, Weston WV, rather than its postal city. Dates verbatim: 'EM Summit 2026', 'September 24th, 2026', 'Welcome Social - September 23 7:30 PM', with the year independently corroborated by the room block's own arrival date. The registration link is a HEAD/GET trap: it returns 404 to a HEAD request and 200 to a GET, following to a live Square checkout titled 'Emergency Medicine Summit'.

UNKNOWN, not zero, and deliberately not assumed. The APA is ACCME-accredited and is DC's largest registrant at 808 activities, but this event's own page carries NO credit figure, NO AMA PRA Category 1 designation and NO accreditation statement — the full agenda is published and the credit section simply does not exist. Audience published as 'all individuals who are passionate about supporting, developing, and championing women leaders in medicine, including: Medical Students, Residents & Fellows, Practicing Physicians, Academic Faculty, Department & Division Leaders, Physician Executives, Health System Leaders, Researchers' — physicians throughout, with no nurse-practitioner or physician-assistant category, so neither is claimed.

  4. 2026 West Virginia Chapter Annual Scientific Meeting

In personRoanoke, WVAmerican College of Physicians, West Virginia Chapter

ACP Member $400; ACP Resident/Fellow Member $35; ACP Medical Student $0; Nonmember Physician $450; Nonmember Resident $75; Nonmember Allied Health Professional $450.Internal medicine

CREDIT UNKNOWN. No designation sentence exists for this meeting: the strongest published statement is 'Registration fee includes continental breakfast, lunch, all scientific sessions and materials, and CME documentation', and the store page was grepped for 'AMA PRA', 'Category 1' and 'MOC point' with zero hits. THE END DATE IS CONTESTED BY THE SOCIETY'S OWN SITE and both readings are recorded rather than one being chosen: the overview and agenda panels say 'October 22-24, 2026' and carry a 'Saturday, October 24, 2026' agenda day, while the exhibitor page on the same site says 'October 22-23, 2026'. The three-day reading is seeded because two of the three panels and the agenda support it, and the likeliest explanation is a two-day exhibit floor inside a three-day meeting, but the site never says so. Venue is Stonewall Resort, 940 Resort Drive, Roanoke, WV 26447 -- Roanoke WEST VIRGINIA, not Roanoke Virginia.

  5. West Virginia State Rheumatology Society Meeting

CREDIT UNKNOWN -- no accreditation or designation text appears on any of the society's pages. NO END DATE IS SEEDED BECAUSE THE SOCIETY PUBLISHES TWO, and picking one silently would be worse than recording the conflict: the body of its event page says 'West Virginia State Rheumatology Society Meeting: October 22-25, 2026' while the sidebar of that same page, the homepage and the sign-up product page all say 'October 22-26, 2026'. The registration form offers only a Friday reception and a Saturday night event, which fits a Thursday-to-Sunday meeting better than Thursday-to-Monday, but that is inference and is not seeded. The society's online store also displays 'Online store is under maintenance. Check back soon!', so registration may not currently transact.

  6. 2026 West Virginia Annual Meeting

CREDIT UNKNOWN -- the chapter publishes no designation sentence. Times verbatim from the chapter's own records: 30 Oct 2026 3:00 PM to 31 Oct 2026 4:00 PM, corroborated by the sponsor page's 'Friday Welcome Reception' and 'Friday Dinner Meeting'. AN AGGREGATOR PUBLISHES COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DETAILS FOR THIS MEETING and they were rejected: eMedEvents gives October 22-24 at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, which is the ACP West Virginia chapter's date and venue, i.e. two organizations blended into one listing. Only the chapter's own pages were used.

22 AOA CATEGORY 1-A CREDITS -- OSTEOPATHIC CREDIT, WHICH IS NOT AMA PRA CATEGORY 1, and no AMA PRA credit is designated anywhere on this activity. Designation verbatim: 'West Virginia Osteopathic Medical Association (WVOMA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. WVOMA designates this program for AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.' Hours verbatim: 'WVOMA 's Annual CME Conference 22 1-A hours in hybrid sessions both recorded AND LIVE at the Greenbrier Resort.' Cross-confirmed by a SECOND publisher, WVSOM: 'WVOMA's Annual CME Conference will present 22 category 1-A hours in hybrid sessions both recorded and live at The Greenbrier. Nov. 5-7.' THE CITY IS NOT ON THE PUBLISHER'S PAGE: WVOMA names only 'The Greenbrier Resort & On Demand' and never prints a city or state, and its own office is in Lewisburg, so White Sulphur Springs was resolved from the venue's own structured data (addressLocality 'White Sulphur Springs', addressRegion 'WV', postalCode 24986) rather than assumed. Recorded on demand until 2026-12-31. Professions are recorded as MD, DO, NP and PA on the strength of the published price tiers, which include a WVSMA member rate and a mid-level provider rate, even though the association itself is osteopathic.

  8. 2026 West Virginia Perinatal Summit

CREDIT UNKNOWN, NEVER ZERO. Both the event page and the dedicated summit page were fetched and NEITHER carries any accreditation or designation statement of any kind. Twentieth anniversary edition. Venue is the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place, Two Waterfront Pl, Morgantown, WV 26501. Audience verbatim: 'healthcare providers, community leaders and state partners'.

  9. 34th Annual West Virginia Rural Health Conference

In personMorgantown, WVWest Virginia Rural Health Association

    Early bird through 14 August 2026: member $375, non-member $500.Primary care

Register on host site ↗Add to calendarDetails

PHYSICIAN AND PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT CREDIT IS NAMED BUT NEITHER HOURS NOR ACCREDITOR ARE, by the publisher's own admission. Verbatim: 'CE Credits Available For: Dieticians, Community Health Education Specialists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Nurses, Physicians, Physician Assistants' and 'Specific CE details, including credit hours and approval bodies, will be provided closer to the conference' and 'Participants must attend the full session to receive CE credit'. Not stated as AMA PRA Category 1, so no figure is seeded. The publisher's own page carries stale 2025 copy three paragraphs below the 2026 copy, reading 'We can't wait to see you in Huntington!' -- that describes the 33rd Annual conference at the DoubleTree in Huntington and would place this event in the wrong city; the page title and the registration paragraph both confirm Morgantown for 2026. A non-member registration route exists via a Cvent short link which returns 403 to a HEAD request while resolving to a live event. REGISTRATION URL CORRECTED AFTER ADVERSARIAL REVIEW: this row pointed at wvrha.org/2026-members-registration/, which is a MEMBER-PORTAL LOGIN (title '2026 Members Registration - WVRHA', with username and password fields) and not a route the public can use. The conference page publishes two routes side by side, 'Member Registration' to that login and 'Non-Member Registration' to the Cvent short link now seeded, which resolves to web.cvent.com/event/fd2988cd-9ebc-4c0f-a82a-d5109a71524e/register. A live 200 is not proof a link registers anyone.

  10. CREDIT UNKNOWN. The listing's only credit reference is 'Whether you're seeking CME, reconnecting with colleagues, or contributing to the future of OB/GYN care in West Virginia, this meeting promises to be both informative and rejuvenating', which is marketing prose and not a designation. THE ROW RESTS ON AN EVENTBRITE LISTING RATHER THAN A SOCIETY PAGE because no independent West Virginia ACOG Section website could be found and every plausible domain fails DNS; the listing's organiser is named 'ACOG WestVirginia Section'. Published weekdays match the dates. Venue verbatim from the listing's address block: The Greenbrier, 101 West Main Street, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986 -- the venue's own site gives the street as 101 Main Street West, and the difference is recorded rather than corrected. AUDIENCE NARROWED AFTER ADVERSARIAL REVIEW: this row claimed MD/DO/NP/PA and the listing supports only physicians. Its own words are 'an annual gathering of obstetricians and gynecologists' 'tailored for both generalists and subspecialists', and the page contains ZERO occurrences of 'nurse practitioner', 'physician assistant' or 'advanced practice' (counted directly on 2026-08-15). Same shape as the five over-claimed NP/PA rows the Rhode Island review found: an audience nobody published is an invention.

  11. CREDIT UNKNOWN -- no designation sentence appears anywhere on the academy's site. THE VENUE IS PUBLISHED ON THE HOMEPAGE AND NOT ON THE EVENT PAGE, and that distinction is why this row exists at all. A research lane grepped the dedicated assembly page for oglebay, resort, hotel and venue, found zero matches, and reported that a page summariser had FABRICATED 'Oglebay Resort, Wheeling, WV'. Both pages were then fetched directly on 2026-08-15: the homepage prints '75th Annual Scientific Assembly', 'March 18-20, 2027' and 'Oglebay Resort, Wheeling, WV' verbatim, while the dedicated page returns a grep count of zero for oglebay. The venue is published; the accusation was wrong. Registration is live and headed '2027 Annual Meeting - Attendee Registration / 75th Annual Scientific Assembly, March 18-20, 2027'.

  12. CREDIT UNKNOWN -- no accreditation or designation statement is published. Runs 08:00 to 15:30. Venue address published in full as Stonewall Resort and Conference Center, 940 Resort Drive, Roanoke, WV 26447, which resolves the Roanoke West Virginia versus Roanoke Virginia homograph on the publisher's own page. AUDIENCE NARROWED AFTER ADVERSARIAL REVIEW. The 2027 page is a save-the-date carrying venue and hours of day only -- no designation and no clinician audience of any kind -- so MD/DO/NP/PA asserted more than it publishes. Physician relevance is evidenced by the SERIES rather than by this edition: the 2026 forum (2026-04-23/24, now past) designated 9.25 'AMA PRA Category I Credit(s)' through CAMC. That figure belongs to last year's edition and must not be attached to this row.

  13. CREDIT UNKNOWN and the listing is a save-the-date: the entire published description is the two words 'Save the Date!' and the cost field is empty. Seeded because the date and venue are firm in the chapter's own Events Calendar REST API, which returned this as its only future event. Venue is Stonewall Resort, 940 Resort Drive, Roanoke, WV 26447 -- Roanoke WEST VIRGINIA, not Roanoke Virginia. AUDIENCE NARROWED AFTER ADVERSARIAL REVIEW: the entire published description is the two words 'Save the Date!', so no audience is published at all and MD/DO/NP/PA was an assumption drawn from the organization rather than the activity.

  14. PHYSICIAN CREDIT NAMED, HOURS AND ACCREDITOR UNKNOWN. Verbatim: 'Continuing Education: Continuing education credit will be available for both days of the Summit for Physician, Pharmacy, and Nursing units. More information will be added later this year.' Not stated as AMA PRA Category 1, so no figure is seeded. Venue address published in full as Bridgeport Conference Center, 300 Conference Center Way, Bridgeport, WV 26330, and the page states 'in Bridgeport, West Virginia' -- this is Bridgeport WEST VIRGINIA, not Bridgeport Connecticut. Audience verbatim: 'targeted toward healthcare and public health professionals, school nurses, administrators, business leaders, consumers, and others'. Run by the West Virginia Immunization Network, a programme of the Center for Rural Health Development.

  15. Joint accreditation verbatim: 'Postgraduate Institute for Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.' ⚠️ THE DESIGNATION DEFERS TO A CHART: 'The Postgraduate Institute for Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of credits as listed in the chart below' — and the chart is not extractable without a browser, so the 2027 hour total is UNKNOWN. The prior year's marketed 'up to 26 CME credits' has deliberately NOT been carried across. ⚠️ PUBLISHER TYPO: the site's own navigation reads 'Myrtle Beach, FL' on every page while the conference page, breadcrumb and the venue address (9800 Queensway Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572) all say South Carolina. SC is correct.

  16. Same joint accreditation and same chart-deferred designation as the Myrtle Beach conference — the 2027 hour total is UNKNOWN and the prior year's marketed figure has not been carried across. Venue: 130 Shipyard Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.
